Pointwise and the SU2 team at Stanford University hosted a joint workshop that walked attendees through the end-to-end CFD process using Pointwise and Stanford's open source CFD code, SU2. Sessions included the basics of both Pointwise and SU2 and how they can be used in concert to tackle aerodynamic shape design problems. The workshop also covered the following advanced topics:

  • Implementing new features in the SU2 codebase

  • Generate boundary layer resolved meshes using T-Rex

  • Examine grid quality prior to export

  • Use Glyph scripting to automate meshing tasks

SU2-Pointwise Joint Workshop is now available on YouTube.
